pD: Hi everybody.I'm new.I'm a long time reader,1st time poster. My name is AL.I'm a 24yr old male. But I turn 25 this April 13th.I'm born & raised in Southern California,in a city called Burbank near Los Angeles. When I was 4yrs old I lost my intire left eye ball in a BB Gun accident.Another child just shout me in the eye.My intire left eye ball was removed.I woar a prosthetic eye for a very short time when I was 4yrs old.But i hated it.The prosthetic eye eritated my eye socket. It got so cold & so hot & so dry.It was very uncomfortable.I had to be very carful with it 7 clean it.it was a hasel.Plus I didn't like pretending to have 2 eyes. The only good thing about having a prosthetic eye was taking it out to show people.Hahahaha I started wearing an eye patch when i was only 4yrs old & still in diapers.I loved it.i've woarn an eye patch ever since.I still wear an eye patch to this day. I want to meet people who have lost an eye,or are about to lose an eye.As well as people here who know sombody who's lost an eye.I would also like to meet anybody who wears an eye patch.I'm a guy so i'm also curiose to meet women who have lost an eye or wear an eye patch.Nice to meet everybody bye Love 1 Eyed AL pD: P.S. email me at OneEyePatched@yahoo.com

Al,

Welcome aboard! I've got a couple of nice patches but never wear them. I'm more of a sunglasses sort of guy.

Hi Al!

I wear glasses and a patch. Recently I've been wearing a patch designed specifically for glasses wearers -- http://www.anissasfunpatches.com -- and they're the most comfortable patches I've ever had! I'm in love with these things. I actually forget I'm wearing them. On the down side, when asked for his honest opinion, my boss said it looks "weird". So I wear a prosthetic contact lens in those rare situations where "looking weird" must be avoided at all costs. (I have both my eyes, but the left one seems to have voted for secession and is waging an insurgency.)
