I thought I would mention an active blog site I have discovered for those who are autoimmune 'challenged' / with SLE or other.
It is a supportive community blog quite similar to LE; but members for the most part live in the UK. Compassionate kind caring individuals helping others helping themselves surviving through the mire that is autoimmune disorder. Well maintained and well monitored.
There is a load of new research information in regards to SLE and other autoimmune disorders available to all (non members or members). Links and more links.
Improvements being actively made by the LupusUK website designers. I suggested to keep it simple / easy to navigate as some have vision issues.
:)
Any and all are welcome. Patients and care givers alike.

Hi Nouska; thanks for the wonderful info and links that I'm sure will help some here.
off topic; we have a new show on tv The Voice and one of the judges is Seal (who I've always adored) and he is badly scarred neck up from having lupis as a kid.
cheers vera

To Vera:
I did not know Seal (musician) had lupus (and/or was the cause of his facial scarring).
I googled ... he had CHILDHOOD DISCOID LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS (a condition which specifically effects the skin above the neck beginning in childhood with a higher progression probability to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in adulthood than a child without DLE).
What a great spokesperson for LupusUK.
Thanks for the info.
