Hello,
I am sorry to hear your dad passed away. Give yourself time.
Here are some tips which might help you to think about moving in the future.

You would be wise to try to go somewhere where you have family or friends.
If you have means to rent or buy a house then you should start looking around at the prices of rent/houses in the area in which interests you just to get an idea.
A large City offers more opportunities but with it comes higher living costs.(most of the time).
Do lots of research in the area you wish to go to. Check on- line sites for places of interest etc to get a feel for the place.
Update your CV. See how your qualifications or experience match up with the area you want to move to.
I would perhaps go and visit the area that you are interested in a couple of times and a) locate the job centres in that area b)look for jobs on line in the area, c) check the local newspaper.
Make a list of what you are good at to try to begin work as soon as you can even if it isn't the job you are looking for immediately.
Make sure the area has good facilities, doctors, hospitals, sports centres, theatres. etc.

Keep some ties to where you are living at the moment in case you want to return.

Don't do too many things at once. Breath and take it easy , you have youth on your side and I wish you all the very best with your decisions.

Sorry to hear about your dad mate

Find something you can do well (or you're young enough to find something you don't do well and train to get better lol) and start a business doing it, give it 5 years to grow then Voila, never have to answer to anyone again :D , Get a part ime job to supplement it (I had 4 when starting mine) and invest near on every penny back in.

Andy

Sorry to hear about your dad (RIP). I've had to start over twice; left N.Ireland; started over in England; left 30yrs ago to start over in Australia. Preparation/research about jobs; houses (rent prices or buying prices). Cost of living etc. I had a good skills in typing/shorthand office work within Insurance so those skills are very portable around the world. I wish you well on your new journey. Where are you thinking of going and maybe if someone on LE lives there they could help with info and advice. best wishes vera
