I paid almost $8,000 for this prosthesis
Perhaps this thread should be placed over at my http://www.quatloos.com
forums under "scams and frauds" . . .
Seriously, that is a huge boondoggle -- I don't care how much effort went into it. For $8,000 not only should it look perfect, but it should also have a built in MP3 player, plus they should have paid for your first-class airfare from any place in this hemisphere, picked you up in a limo, and comp'd you a couple of nights at the Beverly Hilton. Sheesh.
Return the prosthesis, ask for as much of your money back as you can get, and go see John. Seriously.
Ahhh... now you see the depth of my disappointment, not to mention the reach into my pocket
Oh yeah right, like I'm going to see a nickel back. I charged it and she's been paid. I have inquired about a dispute however with my credit card company because I am not yet satisfied with the service. If there is no resolution, I will pursue a dispute. This means another trip again though, ugh.
I sort of liken this experience to... I'll keep this G rated, if I had a custom wedding dress made and one of the breasts was pointing even a little bit the wrong way--no woman would stand for that! And she'd only be wearing the dress for a few hours.
I feel so ripped off right now. The $8k doesn't even include my travel, using my sick time to be off work and all the time away from my family, children, home and puppies.
Right now I need to get positive and enjoy the spirit of the holiday's! Think I'll go have some spirits!
